I'm an independent and insured childbirth educator, hypnobirthing teacher, birth doula and La Bassine birth pool retailer. I'm 29 and live near Helston, Cornwall with my partner Andrew and baby Maya. You can read our birth story here!

I've been involved in this field for eight years; attending births, supporting families and teaching antenatal classes. I specialise in natural active birth and hypnobirthing relaxation.

At the beginning of my postgraduate career, after experiencing childbirth first-hand as a close friend's birth partner, I studied midwifery at King's and St Thomas' Hospital in London, supporting over 100 women in labour. I 'delivered' (for want of a better word) 22 babies at the acclaimed 'Home-from-Home' birth centre featured on the BBC's 'City Hospital'.

I then decided to switch paths and leave midwifery in my 3rd (final) year to become an independent doula and antenatal teacher. I have since trained with several leading international childbirth experts including Michel Odent, Janet Balaskas and Jean Sutton. For more about my experience and qualifications, see below.
