Hi! Welcome to my site and congratulations on your pregnancy!
I'm an independent childbirth educator, birth doula and birth pool retailer. I'm 29 and live near Helston, Cornwall with Andrew and baby Maya. You can read our birth story here!
I've been involved in this field for 8 years; attending births, supporting families and teaching antenatal classes. I specialise in natural active birth and hypnobirthing relaxation.
At the beginning of my postgraduate career I trained as a student midwife in London and supported over 100 women in labour, directly assisting in 22 births. I then decided to switch paths and leave midwifery in my 3rd year to become a doula and antenatal teacher.
I believe that the more open and relaxed you are about birth, being somewhere you feel safe, with confident people around you who respect your right to make your own decisions, the more likely you are to have a positive and satisfying experience.
