Exclusive birth preparation sessions are held at flexible times to suit you, in the comfort and convenience of your own home or holiday accommodation (or my home if you'd prefer).

They provide a supportive, private environment where you can explore childbirth together with a friendly and qualified childbirth educator.

Because this is a completely independent, unaffiliated course, I am guided by your individual needs and wishes.

Sessions include active discussion, demonstration and watching inspiring birth videos. Birth partners in particular are more likely to gain knowledge and confidence from face-to-face sessions.

Booking private childbirth preparation sessions also entitles you to 50% off a hypnobirthing workshop or private session

What can we cover?

Choosing where to give birth - hospital, midwifery-led unit or organising a homebirth
The physical birth process - signs and stages
Natural and medical comfort measures including water, birthing balls, TENS, epidural & active birth positions
How your birth partner can offer effective support
Your legal rights and decision-making
Postnatal essentials including breastfeeding

When and where?

You can begin private antenatal sessions at any point during your pregnancy. It's never too early or late! I can visit you at home, daytimes or evenings, 7 days a week (latest start 7pm). If you'd prefer, you can visit me in Helston.

Two, 2.5 hour visits is enough time to cover all of the topics above. If you are a parent already and would just like a childbirth refresher, and perhaps to debrief a previous birth experience, a single two hour visit is usually more appropriate.

Prices

Fees include my travel expenses throughout Cornwall:

Two 2.5 hour visits: £90
One 2 hour visit: £45
