Midwives are responsible for checking the pool temperature and will bring disposable thermometers with them, but they do appreciate the easy-to-read digital display on this one!
You don't need to check the temperature of the pool for labour - just as long as mum is comfortable, but for the birth, the water temperature should be around body temperature - no less, and no higher than 38C
