So our birth plan didn't go to plan!
Got pre-eclampsia and various other
issues, as a result Hazel was delivered by c-section at 35 weeks and is
now in SCBU, but doing well and has always breathed and everything on her own -
she just needs to fatten up and is in a hot cot. The attached photo is Hazel at
2 minutes old!
Real shame we didn't get our home water birth but we did use our
hypno-birthing techniques to stay calm at times of stress, and hopefully we can
use them next time. The main thing is that Hazel is healthy and at the end of
the day that is all we could really ask for and the Treliske teams were all
amazing.
