Andrea's c-section

I'm loving being a mum, it's fantastic.

Well, to cut a long, long story short I went to 42 weeks and then upon examination the head consultant at Treliske realised that Jayden was lying in a traverse position and therefore I ended up having a c section that day!!!! Very bizarre but I was happy with the outcome as I knew I couldn't have a waterbirth at the unit as soon as I went more than 12 days overdue. Also Helston Birth Unit was closed for 3 weeks over my due date, which the midwives chose not to tell me!!

With regards to your course I can not say how fantastic it was and how absolutely helpful it was. It really doesn't matter what sort of labour you end up having - the course was so worthwhile. If it wasn't for your course they would have induced me at 10 days over and due to his position I would probably have had a horrendous time of it, but due to my knowledge I wouldn't let them induce me and I had a smooth c-section, which is what I wanted if the water birth didn't happen.

I have recommended you to anyone who is pregnant and will continue to do so. Thank you so much.
