You will be pleased to know that I achieved the natural birth that I so wanted!
She did end up being a forceps delivery as she remained back to back (like her
brother) but I still avoided that dreaded operation!
I went into labour at 6pm but it was really
manageable until about 9pm when the midwife came and checked me to say that I was
6cm and that it was time to go to hospital.
By the time I reached Treliske I was 8cm and
within an hour it was time to push. All done on two paracetomol and gas and air
in the last hour!
Thank you so much for the support and information
you gave me in the run up to my delivery. By talking everything through with me
and teaching me about the birth process you gave me the confidence to go ahead
with a natural birth that I don't think I would have had without you.
